2022: In Pictures

31 December 2022: Sofa Shopping
Noirin had to sneak one little thing in before the end of the year. We went to order our new sofas, which is not my idea of a fun time, but at least it'll keep her happy for a bit!

30 December 2022: Toaster
We finally got sick of the toaster cremating everything and just went ahead and ordered a new one.

29 December 2022: Town Moor
I was horrified when I realised the walking route I'd selected took me over these two hills on the town moor, but the view was worth it.

28 December 2022: Winter Wonderland
This has been at Gosforth Park recently and while a rainy day like today probably isn't the best time to see it in all its glory, I'm not impressed.

27 December 2022: Alpaca Slippers
It's tradition for us all to get new slippers for Christmas. I love my fluffy alpacas!

26 December 2022: Family Gathering
Unfortunately Sophie and Skye couldn't make it but the rest of us gathered for some nice family time.

25 December 2022: Pigs in Blankets
These are almost too cute to eat, but I'll give it a go.

24 December 2022: Bad Santa
I guess this guy is in charge of the naughty list.

23 December 2022: Thorntons
I think "last day of work before Christmas" is a valid reason to eat chocolate at 9am.

22 December 2022: Faint Line
I feel absolutely fine now after a few days of illness but unfortunately I'm still testing positive for covid.

21 December 2022: Long Sleeves
I got some more long sleeved clothes to keep me warm through winter.

20 December 2022: Pigs in Blankets
These aren't bad, but they're basically expensive bacon flavour crisps.

19 December 2022: Script
I had to miss Emmett's play so I made do with reading the script.

18 December 2022: Festive Friends
So far Stone Cold's jumper and Hattie's hat are the only indications in our house that Christmas is coming.

17 December 2022: Covid Test
With 50% of my household currently suffering with covid, I had concerns about the sore throat I've developed. My test was negative so I get to keep playing nurse to the others.

16 December 2022: Icy Pond
Burradon pond is frozen over, which makes for beautiful scenery.

15 December 2022: Enthusiasm
If ever a photo summed up my lack of enthusiasm for the day, this is it!

14 December 2022: Festive Effort
I tried to make myself feel festive by wearing my Christmas sweater vest for work. It didn't particularly influence my feelings towards Christmas but I was nice and warm.

13 December 2022: Gloves
I had to give in and put my gloves on this morning. My hands are so cold anyway with Raynaud's that I didn't really notice much of a difference.

12 December 2022: More Frost
It's that time of year when there's frost on top of the bins and they're iced shut.

11 December 2022: Play Pizza
Of course this caught my eye in Lidl, and of course Noirin said "no chance".

10 December 2022: Frosty Windows
I loved the pattern that the frost made on our window.

9 December 2022: Railway Line
Today's walk was slow due to some very icy paths. I spent a chunk of time walking alongside this bit of railway line.

8 December 2022: Blyth Walk
I arrived in Blyth for a walk just as it started to snow! Thankfully I had warmed up nicely by the time I ended the walk in Monkseaton.

7 December 2022: Snowboating
As I walked along the Tyne I didn't expect to see a snowman in charge of a boat.

6 December 2022: Peaky Blinder Boots
These were described as Peaky Blinder style tweed boots. I love them!

5 December 2022: Mam & Jane
I started a week off work with a meal at the Keel Row, with Mam, Chris, Ali and the Hodges. I opted for a natural shot of Mam and Jane rather than having them pose!

4 December 2022: England 3-0 Senegal
England progressed in the World Cup with a convincing victory over Senegal.

3 December 2022: Deep Clean
My last day alone before the rest of the household returns from Ireland. How did I spend it? Doing a deep clean of the bathroom, of course.

2 December 2022: Mark's Party
Mark hosted a party at George Street, which involved some of my favourite things: pepsi max, pizza and live music. It really was a lovely way to spend a Friday night.

1 December 2022: Threadbare
I got some new Threadbare fleeces to keep warm through winter.
